From the architecture to the museums to even the schools that make up JCPS, the city as a whole is absolutely artistically inclined. With that said there are several options depending on if you want to go see art and observe as opposed to actually being hands-on and making art. If it’s the former check out the Frazier Museum, the Louisville Science Center, and the Slugger Museum (fortunately, they are all located within minutes of each other and can be made into an entire Saturday date). If you are wanting to get hands-on you can take sculpture and painting classes at the Mellwood Art Center, dancing lessons at Bravo! Dance Studio, or even cooking classes at The Cottage on Lexington Road.
