The federal Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) initiatives of 2005 will have a major positive impact on our region. Fort Knox expects a net gain of at least 4,500 military and civilian jobs when the expansion is complete in September 2011. Fort Knox will become home to the U.S. Army Human Resources Center of Excellence, which manages all human resources functions for the US Army.
